Convoy enroute!

Description

Ambushed Convoy is a hybrid of both global and worldmap events. When the event starts, the green timer with information will be displayed to all wastelanders much like any other global event. On the other hand, this event is taking place in its own red-marked location on the worldmap, so just like any regular worldmap event. Therefore achieving the name of "Hybrid" as mentioned earlier. The event last for 10 minutes.

There are 3 versions of Ambushed Convoy event. The First variant spawns in areas close to Gecko, in this variant you fight over transport carrying Polymer Kevlar, the second variant spawns around Broken Hills, its the Uranium Ore transport. Both of those tends to be rarely done by wastelanders as they don't offer the most currently sought premium resources. The third variants is generally the most wanted in the wasteland. The one that spawns close to Redding, and is transporting High Grade Steel.

When you will spawn in one of such events, you will notice a ongoing fight between attacking raiders and defending convoy guards. Your task here, is to kill all guards protecting the convoy and loot the car's trunks. You can't loot any of them as long as at least one convoy guard is alive. They are also one of the biggest, meanest, strongest fuckers in the whole of War torn California. Not only they have a plenty of hit points (around 400+), not only they are armored in combat armors, not only they can heal themselves by using first aid - no this all is not enough for them, to top this all off they are using the finest offensive technology in the game - Gatlings, Vindicators, Bozars and so on (Well not every one of them, some are still using stuff like Rocket Launchers and Avenger Miniguns which while dangerous still aren't as powerful as other mentioned guns).

In normal circumstances beating such strong NPC's would be close to impossible. Fortunately the Caravan Guards are busy fighting seemingly never ending raiders onslaught. As long as event is active the raiders will keep spawning. You and your team (since doing this alone is probably impossible, at least impossible in my eyes) should focus convoy guards. Be sure to attack at right moment - preferably at the moment when they can't shoot back - fair fighting in a world where bombs feel is only for dead people.

Kick ass, grab booty, evacuate, and strive to tell another exciting cliche story. These are most definitely your primary goals here.

Note: This place is often even more deadly, as not only NPCs can be your enemies here. Often other player driven gangs will want some premium resources at the same time as your team is fighting in this event. Be prepared for attacks of enemy players!

Note: Starting from one of recent updates this event will also offer a small chance to spawn a Tier 4 crafting component. So you should still attend it even if you don't want High Grade Steel or Uranium Ore as if you're lucky you can find here parts for very powerful guns!

9 Facts

  • The encounter will not disappear from worldmap even after timer runs out as long as there is any players in the location (the player lying dead on respawn timer are counted in as well).
  • The raiders will be spawning as long as timer is on.
  • In the first minutes of event's duration Convoy Guards will also respawn, albeit very slowly.
  • You can't loot cars as long as guards are alive.
  • There are mines close to spawn points, and probably on whole left side of map. Watch your step.
  • Convoy Guards will be hostile to you even when you haven't done anything to them yet. That's kind of a dick move.
  • There is amount about 20k worth of premium resources in single convoy map, although it's completely bit random.
  • Yes, there will be other players attacking you there as you will be doing this one.
  • Always. Especially in middle of fight versus convoy guards. Karma is a real fuckin' bitch.

(Bro, there's only 8 facts here)

Marco's Report

Read the worlds of wastelander Marco, the Leader of Junktown Scouts:

The best time to enter is in the minute 4, because the guards still fighting against the raider. If you enter in minute 2 or less, you have short time to kill the guards. The reason is: when time is over the raiders stop coming and the guards who still alive will focus the players. Is a bad idea if the last guards are guys with vindicator and gatling laser, so I'd say the best time to spawn is the 4th minute.
