Action Points (or APs) are the core of the combat system in the Fallout series. While engaged in combat, the player character can only perform a limited number of actions, depending on the amount of his Action Points. Healing, shooting, reloading, picking up items and accessing your inventory are some examples of actions that will drain your APs. In FOnline 2, most of the fights are in real time, which means your Action Points will automatically regenerate over time, until they reach your character's maximum Action Points amount.

Regeneration

In real-time mode (RT), your action points will regenerate if you stand still, exactly like in the Fallout: Tactics combat mode. The higher the amount of your maximum action points is, the faster they will regenerate. In turn-based mode (TB), your action points are fully regenerated each turn, so you don't have to save them.

If you stand still for 5 seconds your entire action points pool will become refreshed.

Maximum action points

Your maximum action points are calculated with the following formula:

5 + (Agility/2)

The maximum number of APs can also be increased with the action boy perk (+1 AP per rank of this perk; can be taken twice) or by taking drugs like jet or Nuka Cola (their effect, however, is only temporary). If you are desperate there's also a cookie!

Some specially crafted armors can also increase you maximum number of APs by 1. For more information go here
