Game Stages

This page gives a quick overview of the main progression stages in FOnline2 and what players could focus on during each phase.

Everyone set their own personal goals and phases and are free to play whatever way then want. One can become master trader or try roleplay of some sort.

Early Game

Create character and level up to level 30
Establish base network around towns
Initial base building with crafting stations
Craft a vehicle to move around faster

Level 30

• Main Quest line provides huge amount of experience.
• Completing achievements gives a lot of experience.
• Junktown Jobs gives decent amount of experience and early game loot.
• Most caravan runs are rather safely when keeping the distance to enemies.
• Use Perk Far Sight and Cigarettes to increase hit chance of weapons when on low skill levels.
• Early game quests for low level characters in Junktown is beneficial to complete.
• Molotov is cheap and effective weapon vs swarm of mobs.
• Spam your First Aid skill much as possible, it is important skill to increase.
• Try not to get surrounded by enemies, fight on distance and use your movement to run away.

Base

• Buy tents from general stores or craft them with leather, flint and wood.
• Create your first main base near important locations, preferrable near Junktown, Hub, Boneyard area.
• Scavenge resources from encounters. Use high Strength and Agility build with Marathon Runner perk.
• Build up initial base with crafting stations, containers, house, spawning/parking spots and base manager robot.
• High quality resources buy from auction/players or from NPCs. Check resource cheat sheet for all resources.
• Name label your containers.
• Take some tents with you and travel around the world map to near important locations like towns and dungeons or use caravans to travel from town to town.
• Build bases next to every important location.

Vehicle

• Early Game vehicles: Motorbike, Cockroach and Buggy are obtainable via crafting.
• You need Garage Workbench built in base.
• Resources needed are scrap metal, leather, metal parts, engine and motor. Check resources cheat sheet.
• Resources are obtainable by scavenging in encounters, preferably city and ruins encounters which spawn most amount of metal trash to scavenge from.
• Once you have crafted vehicle, set pin and name label.
• Now you have unlocked fast travel between locations.
• You can now do trade runs to different towns, but as low level player safest to stay within safe towns (green circles).

Mid Game

Learn to do dungeons
Improve your economy
Get sufficient amount of gear
Participate events like TC and Tournaments
Complete Weeklies for great rewards

Dungeons

• Check Dungeons page in wiki for dungeon walkthroughs.
• Dungeons are main source of good gear.
• Biggest risk in dungeons are other players.
• Few instance dungeons Toxic Caves and Cathedral provide also great quality items, but you need to spend much more time to get good items.
• Learn to do dungeons effectively and select gear and build based on dungeon and your personal playstyles.
• You can always bring a teammates with you, but then loot is divided for multiple persons.
• Find what is good gain / risk ratio for you.
• Test our different weapons and builds, this part of game is where you truly learn your own playstyle.

Economy

• Find your preferrable ways to start making wealth.
• Some options are trade runs in NPC shops, flipping items in auction, farm and sell items in auction.
• Treat gear as consumable, not permanent because you are going to lose lot of items and gear.
• Use items you are comfortable to lose.
• Start gathering and hoarding lot of important resources, so you can turn resources to your needs.
• Build good reserve of gear you like to use.

Improve

• Stay active and constantly improve your skills and understanding of game mechanics.
• Complete every weekly tasks for rewards.
• Learn different tactics to counter challenges you will be facing.
• Learn basics of PvP.
• Join a gang and network with other players.
• Truly start improving character skills.
• Join every Town Control and Tournaments if possible.
• Start learning about meta events.
• Try to complete achievements.
• Try out modding your gear to get intended outcomes.

End Game

Plan and optimise your build
Gear modding for highest tier bonuses
Try to obtain T4 weapons and high end armors
Play in player gang and dominate PVP
Collect all the Implants and Chips and Golden quality and Artifact Gear

character Build and gear

• Learn in and out about character builds.
• Find most optimal builds and gear combinations.
• Become TOP PK and make enemies fear your name.
• Spend most of your resources for high end gear and modding highest tier stats.
• Dominate the wasteland with your gang.
• Prioritise activities that have chance to spawn T4 weapon and armor parts.
• Get nice amount of T3.5 Armors and fully mod them.
• Get all the T3 SPECIAL Implants.
• Get 3 of each kind of Chips.
• Do dungeons and Red Dots events to gain as many golden quality and artifact weapons and armors as possible.
• Max out all skills to 300.
