Caves
Caves can be found throughout the mountain regions of the World Map. There are a total of 9 different cave layouts, providing some variety when exploring.
Most caves are quite dark. Depending on your monitor settings, increasing your brightness may improve visibility.
The most common inhabitants are Pigrats and Molerats. These creatures are usually spread throughout the cave and generally do not pose a significant threat to prepared adventurers.
One of the main reasons to visit caves is mining. Caves contain numerous mineral veins and ore deposits, typically offering larger resource yields than those found on surface maps. While mining, there is also a small chance to obtain rare materials such as Uranium Ore and Gold Nuggets.
Although caves are not known for high-value loot, they feature a wide variety of possible rewards. Most finds are modest, but lucky players may occasionally discover something valuable.

Tips
- Bring a mining tool (pickaxe or primitive tools) if your primary goal is resource gathering.
- Check every ore vein for a chance at rare materials.
- Explore side passages, as containers can spawn in less-traveled areas.
- Caves are a relatively safe location for newer players compared to most dungeons.
